Here’s something you don’t see everyday: a famed Parisian design house joining hands with a local online fashion boutique for a stunning design showcase to mark the end of the Fide Fashion Weeks. And that’s precisely what happened last Saturday at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, Singapore.
Love Bonito, one of Singapore’s leading online fashion boutiques, collaborated with the Parisian Couturier, Julien Fournie, to create an exclusive collection of gorgeous women’s wear that wrapped up the Fide Fashion Weeks.
The audience was treated to an exquisite showcase of the breathtaking designs that melded Julien Fournie’s distinct style with Love, Bonito’s penchant for accessible ready-to-wear designs.
Naturally, it’s a huge honour for Love, Bonito to partner with an international design house as established as Julien Fournie, but the French designer was just as thrilled to work with the two ladies, Rachel and Viola, behind the local fashion store.
“It is a pleasure to work with Love, Bonito and Fide Fashion Weeks to make my designs accessible to women in Singapore, in Asia and throughout the world,” Julien shares.
“The fashion scene is booming in Asia and the collaboration represents the perfect opportunity for fashion pioneers from two different continents – Asia and Europe – to combine the fun and enthusiasm of fashion with artisanal skill to create stylishly thought-out garments,” he observes.
Fusing haute-couture sensibilities with ready-to-wear sentiments, the collection was an explosion of class and colour, featuring wardrobe classics such as blazers, dresses, tunics and blouses that oozed style and elegance.
