It’s not every day that you have some of Singapore’s best known local designers and local shop owners gathered in a room together, but that’s precisely what happened on October 7, 2013 at Travelshopa’s very first Travelshopa For Business Breakfast Briefing.
At 8.30am on Monday morning, our guests trouped through the rustic estate of Dempsey Hill and filed into House at Dempsey for some breakfast bites, coffee, and illuminating insights on digital marketing how-tos.
Dressed in a flattering burgundy dress and a heavy black and gold necklace, Travelshopa chief Renee Lodens gave an enlightening presentation on digital marketing for local fashion businesses. Revealing statistics and tips on how best to wield the power of social media and the Internet to connect with customers, the breakfast briefing sparked off plenty of lively debate among the attendees.
They shared their personal experiences with social media marketing, discussed having blogs integrated into their business websites, and touched a little on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) – though it was pretty much agreed upon that going deeper into SEO would warrant a much longer conversation (which we aren’t ruling out completely!).
The Travelshopa breakfast briefing was also a great opportunity for attendees to meet other like minded fashionistas and network with each other – which most people took full advantage of, and we loved the exchange that went on in the room!
Renee also announced exciting changes for Travelshopa, which will kick in within the month, such as a new interface for our website, more features for free registered users, and greater visibility for shop pages.
All in all, it was an enjoyable morning full of laughs and conversation, which hopefully marks the first of many other gatherings for the Travelshopa community to come.
