Istanbul: 10 of the Best Local Boutiques on Serdar-ı Ekrem, Galata

Galata is home to a number of super cool local boutiques and concept stores. However one of the tiny cobblestone streets, Serdar-ı Ekrem, is quiet possibly the most popular street in the area. If you are after local Turkish designers look no further. You have found local shopping heaven in Istanbul!

If you are a visitor to the area, prepare to spend a whole day shopping for unique local fashion, gifts and something for your home, eating till you are beyond satisfied, and just taking in the local vibe. Note that while most shops open from 11am-8pm (Mon-Sat) and 11am-6pm (Sun), each shop may vary a little.

Atelier 55

Located at the end of Serdar-ı Ekrem, Atelier 55 is a multi-label store offering local and international brands. The store has an extensive range of clothing, accessories, shoes and jewellery to homwares, furniture and art pieces. Out the back is a small Espresso Bar; perfect for a quick coffee break.
