It seems River Valley is yet to stop attracting great quality homewares stores with one-of-a-kind furniture and furnishings. And the latest resident brings a very different design concept showroom.
In Situ Design, Singapore features creative concepts by talented designers and artists from around the world, displaying handcrafted pieces in furniture, decorations, antiques, soft furnishings and art pieces that cleverly merge elements of modern and vintage. The bright and welcoming space showcases the impressive works of international artists such as Eric Ledoigt (France), Carl J Myers and Laurel Jacobson (USA) and Manuel Morquecho (Mexico).
The exquisite taste of Creative Director Isabelle Persenda is seen throughout the large showroom, and it is refreshing that her home interior design consultancy services will now also be available in Singapore.
In Situ Design, a concept originally from Guatemala, was originally created through the inspiration of nature and the rich and distinctive local culture of Guatemala. Through the Founder of In Situ, Eric Ledoigt, traditional Guatemalan craftsmanship of handwork, wood carving and weaving has now been exclusively brought to Asia for the first time.
At In Situ Design you will find larger furniture items such as sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, consoles as well as a chic range of bedspreads, soft furnishings and fabric tablemats and coasters (which are perfect for tropical living).
