A stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore’s Chinatown are the quaint, historical streets of Ann Siang Hill. Many know the area for the elegantly restored shophouses, filled with hip cafes, bars and restaurants, but fashionistas are also quickly becoming familiar with the local shops, local brands.
There seems to be a new fashion boutique on the scene every time we visit this gorgeous neighbourhood. For the latest premium prêt-à-porter from all corners of the globe, we highly recommend these three impressive multi-label women’s fashion boutiques.
Ana Boutique. 86 Club Street.
Often labelled ‘Singapore’s fashion mecca for expat women’, there is no need to wonder why when you see the impressive collections of established and emerging Australian brands. With racks full of tropical climate appropriate designs, you will quickly get over your homesickness.
Focussed on a personal shopping experience, Ana and the team will attentively select the latest from Fleur Wood, Little Joe Women, Zimmermann, Manning Cartell, Unspoken (formally known as Tato & Memi), Rodeo Show, Lee Mathews, Dinosaur Designs and many more to ensure you go home with the perfect piece whatever the occasion.
If you dare climb the stairs to a second floor you will be greeted by an array of unique, hand-selected pieces for little ones and those you love. Children’s clothes, jewellery, footwear, accessories, books, gifts and loads more….
If you have already discovered Ana Boutique, but haven’t been in a while, they recently received some new collections, so you’d better pop in soon or you’ll miss you!
The best news of late is that Ana Boutique just opened a second store in My Village, Serangoon. Read about it here. We also hear word on the street about a shop downtown in Millenia Walk! We don’t know too many details of that just yet, but as soon as we know more you will hear if first here!
MYthology. 88 Club Street.
The newest kid on the strip, and certainly a breath-taking addition, is MYthology! This superbly fit-out boutique will have you feeling inspired yet relaxed and ready to shop!
MYthology proudly supports emerging and established Asian designers. This stunning boutique perfectly presents an eclectic mix of local Singaporean designers (Dresstronomy, Hasina and NAO), with some of the most promising Indian ready-to-wear designers (am:pm, 11.11, Nachiket Barve, Pooja Kappor, Payal Khandwala, Rahul Mishra and more) and jewellery designers (Avantika and Eina Ahluwalia). With a philosophy to have highly-curated exclusive collections it is no surprise to also find Indonesia’s TONTON in store. The hideaway cubbyhouse is a standout feature and is so elegantly adorned with the most striking one-off designer Indian saris by Nikasha and others.
Shopping in such a stunning boutique amongst a broad range of unique premium pieces, makes it all that easier to find that special piece. You will not leave disappointed.
Willow & Huxley. 20 Amoy Street.
You will feel right at home, and in safe stylists’ hands, from the moment you walk through the door at Willow & Huxley. Very much your friendly neighbourhood chic boutique, you’ll be reclined in a chair and engaged in chat before you know it. Then you’ll get down to business…!
This gorgeous boutique offers a broad range of independent emerging labels from around the world. Browse at your leisure through the latest designer fashions from Denmark – Baum und pferdgarten, Best Behavior and BY MALENE BIRGER. And rediscover some of Australia’s fabulous designers like Cameo, Fever, Finders Keepers, LIFEwithBIRD and Staple the Label.
We love that there are limited number of each piece and new stock comes in all the time. If that’s not a good reason to go by regularly, then just popping to say hi and a bit of a chat should be enough.
We hope you find some amazing little gems at these local shops. We certainly did!
Until next time, happy shopping wherever you may be!
